
Try to stay away from the hole as much as possible or at least try to keep your opponent between you and the pit. This map always becomes about trying to knock your opponent into the large circular shaft at the center of the level.

Generator Room The Generator Room resembles the final dueling place in Episode One. If you prefer run and gun, grab the Heavy Repeater on the central platter and start a ruckus.īespin Courtyard A two-level map, the Courtyard has no real distinguishing characteristics. There are some high places if you're looking to camp, but that's less fun than hopping all over the various platforms. The majority of the good times take place outside, on the crisscrossing walkways, so make sure your Force Jump is pimped out. Is there anything better than Force Pushing a chump into a bubbling lake of lava? Not really. Taspir Here's another chuck-and-huck level. Stay on the move constantly, and watch out for bottomless holes in parts of the map. As a result, a weapon like the Heavy Repeater is to good to have by your side as you run, and your trusty saber will be handy when charging into the raging fray. Rift Sanctuary This is a wide-open, circular, and fairly flat map. Make sure you have a Flechette handy for the trek to the upper reaches of the level, though some of the hallways can get pretty crowded.

A good blaster is nice, but the Thermal Detonators and Disruptor are good that like to deal death from above. Force Pushing weaklings off of the many bridges in the level is also mighty fulfilling. Korriban Tombs If you're a card-carrying camper, grab the Disruptor from the bridge near the top of the level, and hang out on the high ledge that looks down on the courtyard below.

If other weapons are your bag, nothing beats the Flechette for up-close fragging. Then push, pull or drag your opponents into the pit. Make sure you have Force Push and Pull maxed for this level, as well as Force Jump.

When using a single saber, the player can choose between three stances which affect the speed and power of attacks if using dual sabers, the player can switch off the second saber and use the "Fast"-style single-saber stance, or if using a saber staff, the player can switch the staff into a single-bladed saber that uses the "Medium"-style saber stance.Vjun Sentinel This multi-floored level features a central pit that's great for Jedi battles. The different sabers each have unique styles and special moves. The player can create a custom lightsaber by selecting a hilt and one of five blade colors. Later in the game, the player can choose to wield a single saber, one saber in each hand, or a "saber staff" similar to the double ended lightsaber Darth Maul used in The Phantom Menace which also adds a kicking ability unavailable with any other lightsaber. Jedi Academy places a heavy emphasis on lightsaber combat. During gameplay, the player has a "Force meter" which is depleted when powers are used, and recharges when no powers are in use.

In both single-player and multiplayer, players choose how to rank up their powers, adding a layer of customization. Force powers are categorized into core, Light (defensive) and Dark (offensive), and each Force power has three ranks, with the power increasing in effectiveness with each rank. Powers include Push, Pull, Jump, Heal, Lightning, and other abilities from the Star Wars universe. In both single-player and multiplayer, the player character is a Force-user, who has access to a variety of Force powers in addition to their lightsaber(s). Players have a health meter and a shield meter, which are replenished separately. The shooter aspects of the game are standard, including a variety of projectile and energy weapons and explosives.
